I just made a vented box for my 2 15" M3's. I dont want to carpet it, I want it to look like a nice shiny finish in black. Ive seen a design on top of a box that was the shape of the memphis symbol indented in the top of the box. Would that be too hard to do? And if not hard how would i go about doing this? I also heard i could put a coat of buffalo resin on the box and sand it down and paint it. Does anyone have a step by step process in reaching my goal of giving the box a black smooth shine? Thankyou!!

black smooth shine on MDF (i'm guessing that's what it is) can be achieved with some resin.

-mix resin with hardener
-paint box with resin
-sane / body putty untill smooth
-paint

a symbol on the top of the box can be don with a wooden cut out of the symbol, then glue it to the top of the box (maybe some small screws that don't go all the way through the MDF into the box) and then get some body putty and put it in the corners to get a smoothed look, then do the steps above.

You can carve whatever design you want out of foam. Cover the foam in tape and lay glass over it and onto your box. Paint the rest of the box with a few thick coats of resin. Sand sand sand. Slap on some rage gold. Sand some more. Take it to your local body shop and have them paint it for you.
