Use a larger bit when pre drilling, and use a counter sink.

You need to put a capacitor on your extension cord!

3/4" thick MDF... 1 5/8" coarse threaded drywall screws... Craftsman 15.? volt cordless drill... 10" Ryobi Tablesaw Normally sandles... No gloves... Sony VAIO, Intel P4, 2.2Gh... LOL, on another note, I think the problem is number one, I wasn't using the correct size bit and number 2, I wasn't drilling far enough into the wood when I pre-drilled. Problems solved now fellas!

but what kind of toilet paper are you using? I like Scott, it never clogs but is very durable. when your wood keeps splitting just relax, take a dump, grab your favorite beverage, and then continue. its easier to split wood when you dont have the bubble guts. happy splittin' ------------- Nick Scott

Set the depth that you need to drill on the bit then mark it with a piece of duck tape. Chris ------------- Alpine CDA-9833 HU
