I am looking to have my Ipod Docking station slide in and out of a the compartment undernath my radio. I was wondering if anyone had done anything like this before and had any suggestions. I thought about using a linear actuator but I thought something that could move 75 lbs 4 inches in under a secong might be a little too much for moving something that probably isnt a pound. The other thought I had was doing a spring loaded thig like some cars use for their cupholders where you push in and it pops out, but I would rather have something motorized with a flip of a switch. With all the hype of MP# players I figured one of you must have done something like this before so I hope someone can help me. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me. Thanks again.

maybe try a power ant. I've used them for all sorts of neat stuff.

Thanks I may try using a power antenna. That should work hopefully. Otherwise I have to think of somethingelse. I like the tray you Alvin, but I would like it to be motorized if poosible. It's a 2000 Civic and I was going to have it pop out from the dash kit pocket beneath the radio. Like I said I think I will try the antenna (thanks Nik), but if anyone else gets any ideas please post as well. Thanks for all those who have responded so far.
