i had 4 audiobahn 8's in my tacoma for about 3months, i ddint like em; they didnt bump at all. so i decided to go with a bigger driver, but with limited spce for subs i needed something small but with a decent amount of watage andleing, i ws looking around and my friend came acxross the new shallow mount pioneer premeers, 4 in mounting depth!!! and with a 3/4 in mdf ring thats 31/4 i bought two, heres the progess so far. i happy with the ways its comming out, please i want some feedback, good or bad, ill probably ignore the bad tho. before https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/rhdandy/truck12-1.jpg mounted ring https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/rhdandy/truck12s-2.jpg pulled fleece over https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/rhdandy/truck12-3.jpg resined fleece https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/rhdandy/truck12-4.jpg speaker fitment, it went way to smoothly its my 3 box 1st one i am goign to complete, at this point i run into problems, but no problems here. https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/rhdandy/truck12-5.jpg 1 layer of matting, i would have done two but i ran out of mating at work, and did nt want to make the pilgramage back home. https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/rhdandy/truck12-8.jpg

the whlel thing it 2.0 give or take . somethin, but im going to test it with packing peanuts and figure out were the deviders need to be to get .8 on both side. im duplicating the smae thing on the other sside

i know how everyone like pics, so heres more progress, one side almost complkete this is after i sanded down the 2 layers of 2 oz. came out really stong, cured good, and with the buble gum resin when your triming off dried peices it smells like gunm its great. https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/rhdandy/glasssand2.jpg and this is after i rousgh layer of rage gold, i still need to do like 2 spots where i sanded too much off. https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/rhdandy/glasssand.jpg

Looks good buddy! keep the pics coming... but yeah, the airspace does look VERY VERY small... just because they aren't a deep mounting sub doesn't mean they dont need a lot of airspace. I believe and correct me if I am wrong that bazooka came out with a similar sub a couple years back that was like 2 inchs deep... and I dont think it needed much air space. But good luck man, it does look good, I hope you have efficient air space.

AS I WROTE ABOVE, BUT AM TOO LAZY TO QUOTE, THE MANUFACTURE SAYS ITS OPTIMAL AIR VOLUME IS .8 AND I HAVE 2.0 OR MORE, ITS GOT A WIERD BOTTOM TO IT, IM GOING TO USE PACKING PEANUTS AND GET THE .8 ADN PLEASE EXCUSE THE CAPS IM AT WORK... I JUST WISH SOME PEOPLE WOULD RED BEFORE POSTING.

Great start on the box! That should look really sweet. Keep the pics coming. I just read about the Premier TS-SW124D subs. Looks like a pretty good match for you. Let us know how they compare, sound wise. What amp are you running them off of?

for right now its going to be runing a bridged mono 2 channel ma audio 400 rms each @4ohms but later on im getting the audiobahn 250dp, thats goign to be running at 2 ohms 1000 watts rms so the subs should have enough bumping room wattage wise, the audiobahn amp is the only amp i can find that goes loiwer then 40 hz, within a reasonable amount of dollars. i would love to go mattts but im not that crazy yet,
