I can not belive whats going on!
I went today to re stock, SMC resin, Laquer Thinner, etc.
I could not belive the jump in prices from just last month!
The SMC 865 I have been using was 75 per gallon, now it is 90! What the heck. Supplier tells me petrolium prices are driving everything up. Laquer thinner up two dollars a gallon, resin 15 bucks a gallon increase! Thats just hard to belive.
Questioning now if I want to keep producing the product I have just started making, heck at this rate I will have a price increase even before it hits the market!
Going back to supplier tommarow and lean on him, hard!
Thanks for letting me vent.

Up 15 $ from 75 to 90 per gallon! It is not the regular fiberglass, it is SMC resin, a joy to work with but pricy.

I think I will stay with my select products $25 a galloon personally, but good luck with that SMC lol! You might want to downgrade quality if you plan on making any money off of the fiberglass pieces!

Happy Days!

Found my local Auto Parts Supplier was able to do me right! 73 Bucks agallon!

I am back in business.

If you ever try SMC you will like it.  Yes it is expensive but worth the time saving to me.

When I crack the can open I will see if any dancing girls come out! ;-)

Well broke open the new can tonight. Nothing but the smell came out! No naked girls not even dressed ones!
Oh well.
I'll tell ya, for small projects you can not beat that resin. I tried the regular evercoat FG and just does not work the same.
This SMC is stronger, flows better and I can be sanding it in 20 min, less I if I use heat.
I have not tryed it, but I would think for fleece this would be the stuff to use, but again may be cost probhitive.
I am happy paying the 75 bucks a gallon, if I get faced with 90 per gallon again, I think I would have to consider regular FG resin.
