Air Space, JL Audio W6V2

im making a stealth box for my jl audio w6v2... on the site it requires .5-1.00 cu ft but i called and they recommended .65 cu ft... not since im making a stealth box it have all these curves and what not.. and the only angle i can get my subs to fit would mostlikely be more sq ft then they require... are there any solution? if i do end up making the box air space bigger what effects will it have on the sound? would you be able to tell by an untrained ear (ex someone who doesnt compete in audio shows and non experts)

port it or put a wall inside to cut down on air. (cut it out and flush in the amp)

lol i guess ill start attaching random pieces lol... just for knowledge.. how would more air space effect the quality of the sound? also some boxs have cotton in the box... like mine came with it when it came with the factory box... what does that do?

or you could do this: figure out exactly how much air space you have now, and subtract the amount you need. Build a small mdf box with exactly how much you have left (out-side dimensions)  over, and fasten it down in the floor of the enclosure
