I am looking for a variety of ways to cover my door panels after FG the components in them. I posted a similiar topic like this a while ago asking what I could use in place of paint and adhesive vynil. I thought about using vynil, tweed, leather, and fleece. I just wanted to know if anybody had any pics of them or any fabrics they used instead of paint. Just trying to figure out what would look the best on a door panel (the whole thing) and where I could get it at. Any help or input would be much appreciated.

I don't think any one material would best fit a car's design... Look around the car, see the integration of carpetting and plastic, I don't think a manufacturer ever used 1 solid material, and if they did, it was two different colorings which would be the same as 2 different materials as far as I'm concerned. Leather you MIGHT be able to do, but it'll look blah. I'd combine vinyl with a nice looking carpetting, my door panels actually look ok in regards to that(as much as I hate the car and it needs a face lift) except for the stupid marble/wood pieces. What ugly crap... Anyways, there is a link active right now that used a carpetting finish for speaker "pods". the hzemall site has some stuff I believe. Do a search on door panels in this forum, should turn some links up with pics.
