I've heard  in conversation that I can get RESIN from a boat shop.

If so what kind should I look for??

I here that the resin are date!

I'm a First time Fiberglasser and I want to do it right.   Project will begin  JUNE 5-10.

Projects.

FG Panel for / voltmeter/ Amp temp/ lighted switches ..

Yes you can get resin from a boat shop and yes it'll probably be a hell of alot cheaper! Look for Polyester resin and it should come with a large tube of hardener, I suggest you go ahead and buy another tube of hardener posted_image

Most boat shops around my area don't sell resin.

I buy it all the time from a local boat shop.  He would only sell it to me in very large amounts.  But the price was right.(ever seen a 55 gallon drum of resin with a pump tap on it.......i have...HAHA)  Pump what you need into a can a mix with hardener.

The one time I bought a 55 gallon drum it was like $800. Its not a bad price but I just don't need that much at once. WestMarine is a nationwide retailer and they carry resin. You can go to there webpage and see if there is one near you.

at my local boat shop i can get 1gal of resin that comes w/ hardner for arround $17.
