hey everyone...i finally made a router purchase and i can start cutting some wood more acuratly than with a jigsaw.  While i attended the school in toronto....we used "circle jigs" for cutting speakers holes in the wood. and other materials...now...i'm not to sure how they were made.  I need one and if anyone knows how i can make one or better yet...where i can purchase one....that would be great! I purchased a skil router that came with both punge and fixed bases....1/4" and 1/2" chucks.  I have been to rona...home hardware and all of the above and i can't find one! Any help in locating one of these that will work with my router would be greatly appreciated...thanks alot!

use a piece of a metal dowel/rod thing. a wooden dowel would probably work well too.

I make mine out of 1/4 inch plexi. I cut it in the same tear drop shape. Then I cut out and drill the mounting holes for the router. Then I measure and drill holes the radius of the most popular holes that I cut. Make sure that you measure from the center of the router bit to the center of the hole you are drilling. Ir really is just a copy of the jasper one but only with holes that I choose.

how would i make it so instead of there being a series of holes...there is a slot that i culd slide the dowel piece up and down for all different sizes of holes...something that can be loosened and adjusted and tightened again using the teardrop shape...?

What are the most commons holes that people use on speakers so we can measure those on the jig?
