ok so i was painting my boxes... then ran out of primer... got my sister to get me some from homedepot... the guy told her to get a plastic primer. and ofcourse that is absolutly the wrong one. and now my boxes are ****** up when i put em in the trunk the slighted touch of rubber peels the paint of... does anyone have any recomendations on the easiest way to remove these? cuz i will have to sand everything off.. here are the pics... you cant see the damages(as i intended it.
ps how do you prevent paint drips? and once you have one how can you fix it?
more lighter coats?

Strip and repaint. As far as drips/runs, lighter coats.

What he said. Strip it and start over. If you have runs, your appling way too much at once.

This is your first project right? Looks real good.

well idk if you consider this my first project... considering i've redone everything atleast twice haha but yeah it is... im just good with building things... legos when i was a kid payed off! haha thanks for the paint tips.. if you were to strip it what woud you use? im using like the edge of the 3d sander i got, to slowly peal it away(i guess basically same as a circular sander?) but it takes alongggggggg time so i was wondering if theres any tips you guys have.. tried some acetone too.. eh waste..

paint drips... if its still wet while im painting is there any safe way to remove it or am i screwed...? same if it was dry anyway to fix it? and if i put another coat it will just show through correct?

thanks for all your help..
ps. nik i see you always respond my ?'s and i aways see your jeep project progress... any pics? i would love to see what you're doing..

Well do light and very well controlled coats (this is the reason I don't do my own painting). Don't touch the paint when it is wet. Wet sanding would be the only way to take down the runs.

Stripping in your case, just bust out the sander. You need to remove the crappy primer so just go to town.

I seen this thing in autozone the other day...called aircraft paint stripper or something like that, apparently you spray it on, and wipe the paint/primer off. I don't know how bad it will mess up your boxes...which look good by the way.

That may not mix well with the fiberglass.

well, I was re-thinking it and if you were to spray it on, let it sit about 1-2 minutes, then wipe it off with a baby wipe or something (not sure how alcohol will affect hardened FG) it should remove the paint and excess off of the box without any damage...just don't let is sit there for an hour or so posted_image
