I just painted 1/2 of the fiberglass enclosure im working on. I have never cut+buffed before, but the clearcoat has set for nearly 48 hours and it time for some 2000 grit. I have the buffing wheel, but not sure what to use for buffing compound. There are 2 cans of turtle wax i have, one pollishing compound (creme colored) and one rubbing compound (red colored). will either of these work or should i get something else?

Also, origional turtlewax after buffed or no?

Use the polishing compound. But be very careful with the buffer. You can burn through the clear quickly if you are not careful, especially at the edges or corners. The rubbing compound is usually coarser and used for hand rubbing in places the buffer can' t reach.

Awesome, then should i apply turtle wax afterward or wait a day or two? Or not at all?

Wait at least 90 days to add any wax or elese the paint will bubble off the part due to solvents being trapped under the wax.
