do u lay your release agent {turtle wax} before laying the tape or after the tape and before laying the chop mat?

the car wax will be sandwiched between whatever you are molding and the fiberglass or fleece.  I hear WD40 is a good release agent, also Pam cooking oil spray.

Suggestion: For a really easy release you can mold in an air fitting. This will push the two apart when needed, MUCH easier then trying to do it by hand.

To answer your question. Tape first(if that's what you're using). You don't even need the tape if you do a good enough job with the wax though

Why not just mold a handle on the back of it (you can use a handle from Home deport made for cabinet doors)...then easily cut it with the dremmell....

so wax the actual metal than lay tape than glass.......or tape than wax than fiberglass?

tape than wax than fiberglass.  Finish your mold and when you are done with taping shaping whatever than wax it and then fiberglass it.
