Alright guys im going to need you to pull out all the stops on this one. I really need some help on these design problems. Im trying to fiberglass the inside of my trunk lid. I've been wanting to do it for a while but havent gotten to yet. So now I really want to get it done. I just have a few problems. I dont know how to bolt it in. I talked to jeffmoor and he said he put his on by putting wood behind it and then screwing it to it and then putting the speakers in. Alright I want to have a piece in the center that is plexiglass that will civic engraved in it. I wasnt going to put anything else on it but now I think it would be plain if I didnt. So after all that rambling my questions are this. How can I mount it? Two should I put some speakers up there or just leave it with just the plexi?

Do you have a pic of the lid so we can see the layout? You could glass in some wood mounting points and screw it in to boltclips on your trunklid, then put caps on the screw heads like the cabinet makers use, OR have speaker holes that you can mount through and cover with the speakers and grills.

Alright guys I decided to go with no speakers. So im just going to have a piece of plexiglass up there so how do I put that up there and then put the plexiglass in? Or is there a way you guys no of to put the plexi from the inside then mount it without having screws showing????

ah yeah. dude. use them tacks like the door tacks for a GMC door panel. hehe. put enough of them and it'll hold good. we had to use crowbars to get a panel off a junk Grand Am once, cause we didn't have the tool or the know-how of where the clips were. you can buy them fresh at any autozone/advanced auto/blah blah blah
Thanks for the help man, but I wouldnt know how to make those hold to the fiberglass. The other side would be easy just drill a hole. I think I figured out what Im going to do though. I hope it will work, we'll see.
