I am reupholstering some peaces in my four-door dodge neon and I need to know what is the best adhesive to use. I am replacing it with white vinyl. And I am also doing the headliner and the armrest that is on each door. So I need the best stuff to use. Someone told me to use contact cement adhesive but I could not find it in a spray can. Just quart and gallon boodles. I also heard that is very hard to glue vinyl so I just need the stuff that is going to work. What do the upholstery shops use?

vynil is a bit too heavy to do headliners in, if you dont glue it just right it tends to sag from the heat, and time... the best thing to use is contact cement, i use a cheap apray gun bought at an uphoslstry shop, it worksds great. you can get away with doing the panels and armrest with som 3m 77 or 99 at home depot.... the number might not be correct but its in an awkwardly large can it works good thoug, the healiner let a shop do it, its a big job and they know what thee doing.

What is a apray gun. Does it have different name. Would you have a picture

I am pretty sure he ment a spray gun. As for adhesive I like to use 3M 90 spray glue. Be sure you use quite a bit of it, if not it will fall away right away and you will need to redo it. I have always been told not to use 3M 77 because it won't stand up to the heat and will let go after a short period of time. Good luck.
