Well if you apply the resin directly on the plastic pieces, the resin will melt the plastic. Resin gets pretty hot when it is setting up and at very best it will warp the plastic. And trust me, sanding down the plastic pieces is much less time consuming than going with the resin, many more steps involved and much more sanding.

First of all the resin will not get that dam hot as long as you don't put tons on at one time. If you want to do the doors that way that would not pose any kind of problem. Also you want to be sure to use polyester resin, not epoxy resin.

the answer is no- resin will be harder to sand than abs plastic

so save oyur money and sand then flexprimer
