I am in the process of drawing designs for my custom bodykit. I want to make my own style fender flare to suit my application, my question is how would I make a strong solid piece from a mold? Would i fill my whole mold w/ resin and let it cure or would i throw in a lot of pieces of fiberglass mat in the mold along with the resin?

if you cover your mold with mold release and make sure it wont be deformed by the curing process just glass it up and it should be very strong......

glass the hell out of it layer by layer over the course of several applications. On the last layer back it with a wood frame to give it tons of strength and support.

Wood wouldn't be a great idea unless it is treated for exposure to the elements. I personally don't want anything rotting away under my car and potentially falling off and hitting something under the car. :) Plenty of FG should give it strength.
