paint chips? stronger paint?

is there anyway to protect the paint? my paint chips SUPER easy... what can i do make it strong/thicker.. i used an automobile primer so i doubt it would be the primer... i use 2 diff spray paint blue and clear coated it...

you might be spraying to much paint...did you us an adhisive promoter....primer sealer...and you should let the paint cure for 5 days befor tuching or reinstaling...


Try light coats...takes longer but worth it...oh dont forget to scuff the surface with and sos pad or high grit sand paper

use adhisive promoter, lighter coats and keep every thing the same brand. Unfortunitly you need to strip the part down again and start over. Your problem sounds like too thick of a paint film(too many layers)or bad adhision).   Wet sand your primer with a 400 grit and clean with a prep solution. Also do not let the part sit more than 24 hours between coats. If it does wet sand lightly with 1000 grit. I hope this helps some, good luck.
