Well box type really has nothing to do with your car rattling, and it will rattle, alot. Personally I like sealed boxes.

Sealed boxes had more forgiveness to the range of bass notes right, but a ported box could be fine tuned to really perform at a specific HZ right?

I know everyone here hates audiobahn but i had 2 Alum12Q's in the back of a prism that hit 147.3  in a sealed box.  it covered the full freq all the way down to notes you cant hear but would shake the seatbelts. almost a full inch.. i loved that box..  now with my 3 memphis 12's they hit really hard on rap tracks, but if i play and drum and bass, they dont hit the lows nearly like my 2 audiobahns did...

ALL were built to manuf specs.

so i guess that really goes into planning and math :)  if you foubnd out the ressonance of your car, and tuned a ported box to that resonance value, then the car would rattle like a mofo all the time right :)

I had 2 15's and 2 12's in my bedroom as a kid (17-18) and when the parents would leave I would crank them up and play this one bass sweep.   You could watch the resonance values of different things in the room.  the note would play and the doorknob would rattle, and then stop, then the glass would rattle, then the coke can would start bouncing around, then the nickles and coins on my dresser owuld start rattling...

it was fun to show people.  helped understand how the whole resonance worked.  Then you watch that show on how the bridge destroyed itself just cuz the wind blew across the bottom and hit a certain note.
