my stereo system was stolen about a month ago and my dash bezel thing is all screwed up. :(
as of now it is under reconstruction. i was wondering is anyone had any ideas or what materials to use (fiberglass, abs plastic. etc.) to make this possible

i want to try fiberglass but i dont know how hard it would be..

For the best results you will want to use a combination of things such as glass, abs plastic, epoxy, liquid plastic, ect.. Unfortunitly I for one can't say what you need to use, this will come with the ideas. As for the broken part you can go the dealership and get a new one if you need to.

yea but i dont want to. i would rather try something custom as well as to get the experience. but i want to know if it is hard to replace that piece with like a fiber glass enclosure for my psp and maybe some gauges or w.e later in the project???

what all do i have to do for duramix.
i dont know what works good, but my plan was to kinda try something that IVE never seen before (doesnt mean its not done)
mdf the big hole. and use dremels and such to form a PSP dock. then glass or w/e material is easiest and works good so it can look flush with the tan center console main piece.
ill try to get a make shift picture from paint but im not very good with computers

kinda what i want to do
orange is MDF
green is glass or w/e you guys would recommend for making it flush and sandable for paint?

make a cardboard or a posterboard template of the hole that you want filled flush.  lay a sheet of glass or two over it. use fusor to mold it to the panel and use fiber reinforced filler to create the shape you are looking for...that is probably how i would do it unless someone has a better idea. and i love accludes. posted_image

wow thats the first ive heard someone call it acclude lol thanks tho.

im prob gunna go with some thin mdf and just use filler to make it flush...sand,prime,sand,paint,sand,paint,clear
