Hi, I am new on this and I have just primered and wet sanded up to 400 some parts I made but in some spots I can see the filler showing, do I have to prime again or can I just put my basecoat now. Thanks

primer is to help the paint stick. and to fill in very fine pin holes. if YOU think it might be a prolem go ahead and shoot and sand the area around the filler once more.

i would recommend sanding down that primer and feeling in the holes that u ahve showing... what kind of primer r u using??? i recommend the dupont quik prime or a high build primer from another brand..

I am using a high build primer from dupont. Dont have holes they are just places were I sanded the primer off. I think IŽll spray a final coat, sand that and paint. By the way I want to make a 2 color job how would I do that, remember its my first time. I was planning on painting a base coat of silver, mask that and then lay the second color (orange) and then clear, would that be the right way to do it. I want it to be mainly orange with a silver grafic , nothing coplex just some lines. Or should I just make it one color and then paint over that, kind of pinstriping.

you could do it either way. but you are right do the lighter color first then the brighter.

ya spray another full coat of high build primer.. it never hurts.. and i would say to lay the silver down first thenthe orange over.. this may make the orange color pop more.. which may be wanted or not.. so you should really spray a test first and see what happens just to make sure u like it ------------- S.O.B custsoms..
