Has anyone tried doing fabrication with the plastic polypropylene? I know some plastics can be softened or dissolved with a solvent and reformed, for example styrofoam or abs with acetone. I have been researching and can not find if there is a solvent for this type of plastic. I got a clue maybe MEK or xylene might work. I know it can be recycled but I do not like playing with fire.

I'm sorry but to my best knoledge there isn't a solvent that melts polypropylene. I've been working with plastics for 10 yrs. now. Actually polypropylene is very chemical resistant. If you look at most bottles that solvents come in they are made of polypropylene.
