Ok here are the pics for my recently completed FG box.  Its housing a Pioneer TS-W305C 12".  Took me about 4 weeks to build as i was doing end of skool exams.  Here is my photobucket album which has some of the pics in it https://photobucket.com/albums/b110/jlord16/ And this is the finished box https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/jlord16/7cc321ab.jpg

Now my question is.  As this pics shows https://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b110/jlord16/101ed890.jpg im buliding a new MDF parcel rack.  Would it be worthwhile applying sound dampening material to the entire underside of the rack under the crapet i will be applying??  Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.  The rack itself will be airbrushed by me and shuld be complete within a week.  I'll keep u guys posted.  Thanks for reading

Im not sure. I dont think you'd have rattling problems, except maybe on the ends where it is touching. Not sure though.   It may change the acoustics of the wood, the carpet may be enough to do that though. I dont know. Just trying to help, in anyway I can. Doesnt seem I answered anything though, hehe

Oh yeah, box looks great man, so does the rack.

You´ve done a great job with that box....I don´t wanna be negative though, but when building a box that short (back )  the frecuencies may echoe and hit back the sub producing distortion...

I had that problem time ago, I wanted to save room in my tronk , so I built the enclosure just long enough to fit the sub ...

letme know !

Hummm thats intresting, there is about 70mm from the back of the sub to the FG.  I dont get any distortion that i can hear, it sounds alot better then the factory build box that i had.  I have some of that animal stuffing that i put in there on all the walls, maybe that helped
