well...here it is...my second project (first guage pod) kinda thought i'd get some opinions on this...i'm putting some fiberglass resin to it tommrow ...but should i put just resin or should i put a layer of fiberglass mat also?

i'm molding the guage pod into the factory a-piller so it looks like it was factory made there...they only offered a 2 pod one like that when i was looking and my interior is tan, that pod was black, and i didn't want to just stick it on because that wouldn't look the greatest.
but to the questions i asked, because bondo is brittle i was thinking about putting some fiberglass resin to give it strength, but i was also wondering if it would be best to put a layer of fiberglass mat or if just the resin would be fine?

Should order some liquid plastic from
www.Hzemall.com works wonders on interior stuff like that. (If you get it make sure to grab some Icing along with it) But for the question at hand, maybe one layer of mat and resin would do it, can't say for sure though I have only used the liquid plastic on interior stuff.
alright...i read what they have listed...i'll have to order some of that for my screen i'm putting in the dash (once i figure out how to move the cdnter vents and still have them usuable) just how excatly does it work? the same as bondo only plastic? sounds like it could be nice though

Pretty much, its made to do that kind of work on hard panels and stuff. If you look at some of his projects you can see it in use along with the Icing filler for it, both are kind of expensive but worth it.
well...there's some new updated pics of my guage pod i just posted, it's all primed and ready to sand for final paint this weekend
