Just use the specifications included with your subs; if you're talking about creating the box to the specified airspace, then read the post entitled "Packing Peanut Volume" that should help. I think I understood your question but, if not be sure to say something so we can get you on the right track.

ok i read that post and it made some sense but is there no calculations involving the thiele smalles to measure the proper airspace? so i guess you just kinda measure the space your workin with before u start and kinda get a rough estimate for airspace then work with it? i want the whole box fiberglass except the rings and braces. im doing one 12" sub in the drivers side of the trunk in a 2004 acura tsx....any one have ideas or pics?

Nice car. Yeah, first get an idea about the cubic feet needed (for one 12 should be less than a cubic foot), build a box that is at LEAST a cubic foot (you can always take away space easier than adding to it).

Build your box, position your sub rings, and staple down the fleece; then take your measurement. It'll be easier to make adjustments without resin and glass on it.

The subs specs should tell you the ideal box volume.  If you use the packing peanut method from there onwards to fine tune the box then it will work out good.
