I had obtained the specs for my enclosure thru jl audios website. They had said for a ported enclosure the measurement would be 3 x 14.7. On the diagram they had a cylindrical port drawn. How would this measurement translate into a slot port design. Forgive me if this question has been asked before, I did search first.

Go into the Car Audio forum, click on the search button, and do a search on "rectangle port" or "angle port" (i searched using "angle port"). It'll bring up like 4 or 5 hits. Look at the one labeled "How to calculate a rectangle port."

DYohn explains it great.
