This was my first attempt at doing a fiberglass enclosure.

Looks extremely well for your first one. I honestly have to give you props.  . How long did it take you? You really did some research before going into it huh?

It took about 3 weeksat a few hours a day. Then I leared about the Fleece trick Which would've saved a lot of time on the amp rack, but not much on the rest of it.

WOW, thats a killer amp rack.
I take it you have fans or openings in the front, sides or back for cooling.
Awesome job though, especially for 1st timer.

Ufortunately this project wil most likely never be finished. the car belonged to my nephew who was killed in a motorcycle accident while I was working on it. The slot in the back is an intake and if you look you will see a hump on the other side in the middle that houses a fan, and then there is a flush mounted plexiglass cover for it.

Wow, sorry to hear that. Maybe if you have time, you can finish it as sort of a tribute to your nephew. Really nice job, it would be a shame to see all of that work go to waste...  ------------- Im a fiberglass whore!!

That was the plan to finish it and show it in his honor. The rest of the family was going to fund it if I was willing to do the work. So I continued working on it , I only got $300 from them and after I put $1000 into it, I just could'nt afford to do it anymore. I had the dash and console pretty much done When I financially had to quit working on it. All I asked of them was to help fund it and for someone to help me clean up my shop on the weekends after working on it, neither of which happened. Seeing as they seemed to no longer have any interest in it ,I had to give up. I do occasionally think about finishing it, But I lost my shop and have no place to work on it. I have some pics of the dash and console if you are interested. Thanks for the good words about my nephew, he was a great kid. He would give you the shirt off his back, he did'nt do any drugs or drink, he was the youngest person in NJ to attain a plumbing license and would have taken over the plumbing busines his dad had started (Who also passed away a few years ago). He was involved in a few charity organizations, coached the high school wrestling team, when he died there were a few write ups about him in the local papers. His funeral procession was over a mile long, that's how well he was liked. RIP Jr. I really miss you!
