Guys (and girls),

I'll try to be brief - I have a few questions that I'll put at teh end.

I am getting ready to order my Kicker equipment for my 2004 Mustang convertible. Here is the current list of parts I either have, or will be getting...

source -
Eclipse AV3423 (in-dash DVD)

signal -
Kicker EQ30 (30 band EQ)
Kicker SX700.4 (4 channel amp)
Kicker sx1250.1 (sub amp)
Kicker SXRC (digital amp controller)

sound -
Kicker SSMB8 (mid-bass drivers (front doors))
Kicker RS5.25 (components for front)
Kicker RS6.6  (components for rear)
Kicker L7 - 15 (subwoofer)

QUESTIONS -

Is it overkill to buy the EQ30? It will give me the capability to tweak the front speakers, but is it worth it in a convertible?

Should I save a bit of $$$ and go with a 12" L7 and the SX650.1 amp? My thought was that the 15" with the extra power would help significantly when the top is down...but be interested in other opinions. Is a 12" L7 enough?

Power will be fed by 0/1 ga from battery to trunk. High-output alt & 2nd battery will follow if necessary.

Thanks, and please let me know if you have any other ideas...
