I just installed a 4 point harness in my car 96 eclipse and I want to cover on the upper panel where the seat belt used to be. Was wondering if anyone had an idea on how to do this. Any quick info would be appreciated, is going to paint next week and I want to have both pass. and drievrs side done because interior panels are getting painted too. Thanks

- First you need to remove the panels from the vehicle.
- Sand the area that you want to fiberglass with 36-60 grit sand paper to promote adhesion of the glass
- tape the back area of the hole with a couple layers of masking tape
- use some fiberglass matting and apply it over the tapped area
- resin over this area and do this for 3 layers. Use a roller to smooth out the area to reduce sanding later on.
- remove the tape from the backing completely and use 2 layers of matting and resin to the back of the panel to sanwich the front piece that you just fiberglassed to give it added strength
- no need to sand the back part, now once the front is sanded relatively smooth ( 80 grit ) break out the body filler and smooth out the panel.
- sand to 220 - 320 grit and your ready for paint.

Thanks that helped trmendously...gonna start today and hopefull have it done by the time for paint lol....would I take the same steps to cover other holes in the interior? Would I need to fiberglass the entire piece? example - rear HB sider covers have speaker grilles in the plastic and I wanted to cover them up. Thanks
