posted_imagehere it is the ford explorer eddie bauer edition.

posted_imagei skipped a couple step in the progress tree so that i can keep this short and simple.

what you see there is the console walls with a pc 3 cd drive 1 floopy and 1 hard drive slot bracket I found in a hp pavilllion I took apart long ago and a dvd drive in it and covered the lower portion with a cardboard template of what im gonna do with the mdf for the lcd screen of course the mdf will cover the whole area not just the lower but its for testing purposes at the moment.

posted_imagestrange and lucky for me this braket had a hole in the top center that was an exact fit for the power button and i will drill holes for the led's to fit nicely into place. For this car pc i plan to add a sound card and at the moment looking for the slot card for a laptop wireless g card i got so it can connect pci to the mother board, the stores dont have them in stock and i hate waiting for online orders or any mail order at all.

im thinking about adding this below the screen so i can have a quick place to drop cds and other items i might be fumbling around while driving, maybe my remote controls and mouse.

posted_imageposted_imagein this pic the track isnt where it belongs i plan to cut a new space for this storage compartment but i m not sure yet if i want it.

ya man my wife didnt like the initial idea but now with all the features and the actual visual of it she is reconsidering

here is the progress so far.....

posted_imagethis is just a cardboard template covered in masking tape and resined down real good i used fiber glass cloth to achieve a flat and stronger build also i never removed the cardboard and tape because it soaked up lots of resin. its really solid.

i had to make a fiberglass face for it due to the dificulty i have cutting wood "lol i suck at it" posted_image

mostly all of the items and some tools i purchased at a 99 cents store for 99 cents each lol so you all might wanna try find one near you

there are dozens od these dollar stores here in N.J. the one i go to has tools and plenty of house and auto products almost like a home depot without the power tools but they do have some light power tool.

ive run into problems due to my wifes clumsiness, she put the chip that my screen uses in a box with heavy stuff on top of it and the part of the board that held the power supply broke off. So know i must find a new screen, the screen in the pics is a hacked psone screen.
