I have a 95 Eclipse and am in the process of making custom doorpanels. Im fiberglassing my Alpine 6.5"s in the panel. So far I only have the passenger side framed up w/ the rings, then last nite i wrapped it w/ fleece. I was having a hard time getting the fleece to stretch smoothly over the rings. Can anyone tell me how to lay the fleece w/out getting wrinkles? And yes, i adhered the fleece to the panel using spray adhesive, just had a hard time getting the fleece smooth. Thanks all.

what kind of fleece did you use? Mold Fabric of select products are very stretchable and are very good.

panty hose works far better then fleece for a small piece like that...your gonna glass over it anyway...you just need something rigid to mat against...i am not sure why everyone always wants to use fleece...

TOO thick, TOO heavy, TOO much resin needed

panty hose plus two layer of mat = atleast five time stronger then fleece plus it is considerably thiner and lighter aswell..not mention you pretty much cant get wrinkles in it...ahh to each his own i suppose...

PS you have to pull the fleece tighter to get the wrinkles out...

Speaker grill cloth also works amazingly great in this application.
