Has anyone tried using a kitty hair/resin mix as opposed to using resin and fiberglass mat?  I know it suck to sand it, but you can use a brush to "paint" it on like the "miracle mix".  Do you think it would be strong enough for an average 12" sub?...a solobaric? Just looking for opinions on a different tecnique.

ok you can use a brush however you will probably make more of a mess than resin is in its nature. using chop mat i know when i do resin and chop the chop gets on my gloves and brush plus resin is tacky has adhesive properties. will it stick to the kitty hair.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

it shouldn't be much more messy than the resin/filler mix should it?  Using mat and resin is really messy too so i'm willing to experiment if its strong enough. It should mix well b/c kitty hair is just filler mixed with fiberglass strands. Sanding shouldn't be too bad since the mix is self leveling and its only the structural layer.
