Proper Ratio

Whats up guys. I started on my pillar pod project about 3 days ago. I wrapped the A pillar with 2 layers of masking tape. I then started to cut fiberglass mat strips and apply them to the A pillar. I followed the instructions on the back of the resin can. The problem I have is that its still sticky. I left it out for about 2 days and it is still sticky. I dont think it cured fully. Can anyone tell me a good hardener and resin ratio. I need one for a hot batch, one that tacks up fast like within a hour and then a normal ratio witch tacks up within a couple of hours. I think the proper ratio is 10-14 drops per 1 ounce. More for faster cure but you don't want it to harden to rapidly or you will have more problems. I on the other hand don't measure anything out. I have little plastic mixing cups I got from home depot for about .99 each. I've learned how much to put in and how many drops of hardener to use for a quick cure time. However, since I don't measure, if i ever need to use more resin then normal I am left guessing again the proper mixture. It takes time to figure out the proper ratio and to top it off, alot of it depends on the weather being to hot or cold. You have to adjust your mixture accordingly.

24 drops per 2oz... that works fine for me...

In my experience if the job is still sticky after a few days, this was due to inadequate mixing of the resin. This is more important than the catalyst ratio. It is a catalyst, not a stoichiometric mix, so in theory if the catalyst is 'mobile' enough, then a very small amount should work.

I usually mix the resin with a power drill :)
