Does anybody know of a sort of vinyl stamp? My line of thought is to put my company's logo in raised vinyl on every box that goes out. However, to speed up production time, I thought it would be cool to have a stamp of sorts made of the logo which I could just put on top of a piece of vinyl or foam or whatever and cut through it, leaving the logo behind. I figure it would save the hassle of cutting the same logo over and over. I guess I could just make a template and spend an hour cutting out a bunch eh?

i use sound deading and if you want the same logo over and over yea just make some kind of template is your best bet unless you know some kind of master metal worker thank make you a giant cookie cutter of your logo lol. i have really thick construction paper ones then i graduated to 1/4 in plastic and it takes not much time at all to lay that over some SD and use a razor to cut it out. What i use for the JL logo i have the two pieces cut the JL but in there form i cut them from abs plastic and i spaced them correctly and then i used more abs to glue them together and then i lay it on top but there is like to spots that aren't cut cuz my abs connecting them is in the way but no big deal cuz they are small straght cuts

Not sure what complex your logo is, but I would use www.emachineshop.com Use their free CAD software, design your logo, and have it manufactured in a way that works best for you. They can take whatever you design and fabricate or manufacture it in almost any material you can think of, and the prices are reasonable as well. ------------- I have not failed. Do you really think everyone who buys a box from you is going to want your logo ont it? I know I wouldnt. But Im a picky guy. The other thing would be that you are going to have a price to put your logo on it yes? Well if someone who knows nothing about raised lettering sees it and gets the bright idea to have something else of the same size as your logo put on there, are you going to charge more?

Why would I charge a customer to put my logo on their box? Of course not everybody would want it, so not everybody would get it, just those that would agree to it. It would be small anyway, I'm not talking about a huge logo. It's advertising man, nothing else.

I just assumed that you would charge more since ithere is extra labor and materials involved. I understand its advertising. I was just trying to point some things out thats all.

I would assume that putting your company logo on the boxes would help spread your business name around, but if I were a customer I wouldn't think about buying one if I knew there would be a logo on it. Besides, I've learned that word of mouth is one of the best advertisements. So instead of putting your logo on the boxes, give the person 10 business cards or so. At shows the person can lay the cards down by the car or in front of the box...and there you have it.

Yea, word of mouth does reign supreme above all over methods.
In addition to the business cards, you should also include a picture of yourself you handsome little fabricator you, the women will go nuts !!

My line of thoguht was, "hey, I'll do a raised vinyl logo of whatever you want up to such and such dimensions for free if you let me brand your box."

That could work too, similar to a car dealership giving you extra goodies if you "wear" one of their emblems or decals.

precisely, but its only profitable if I can duplicate the same logo repeatedly and quickly. Hence, the stamp. Theres gotta be something out there like what I am thinking, just have to find it.
