No, you use that for buildings and what not. If you were looking to use some material to fill in the empty space of an enclosure like a subwoofer, you can use polyfil.
------------- I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

i honestly have never tried it...
i would assume it would work...it is fiberglass, it has several long strands in no particular orientation just like mat does, however it is very thick...irregardless of how well you rip it up it will still be thick and soak up a boat load of resin...not to mention it is considerably messier then regular fiberglass mat specifically made for resining..also the wining property of pink insulation, and whole reason it works the way it does is because it traps air, large quantities of it too..with enough rolling i assumeit would work fine though...

on a side note it will work INSIDE the box, to trick the speaker, into responding like it is in a larger enclosure...there again it is messy and itchy, and polyfil is much easier to work with.

Do not use fiberglass insulation as the fiberglass material will eventually get caught in the voice coil and the movement of the sub will eventually cause premature woofer problems. Using polyfill or Dacron filler will not have this same affect because there is no glass particles in the insulation that loosens off over time from the air movement in the enclosure.

i knew there was another reason it isnt a good idea...
and from a cost perspective i think polyfil may even be cheaper too.. ------------- Fiberglass Guru.
