Hi,
I am looking to make a fg enclosure for 2 10" diamond d3's. I have the plan on the diamond website for a dual 10 ported box.. now how do I translate that into a fg enclosure? here is a link to what I am talking about.

I want to actually change the basic idea so my port/ports end up in between the subs. I have plenty of room to use so if anyone has any insight, tips or a link, please help me out!

The best thing to do is use the search function in the fiberglass forum and type in sub enclosure. Read my how-to on fiberglassing a sub enclosure and use the techniques on your own application.

What velocity said plus sketch out your box and get everything right on paper. The How-To he did will takecare of you for the majority of your project from you describe.

I understand what you are saying and have done my research on this site.. my only problem is trying to use the same specs for the port described in those plans in a fiberglass enclosure and not take up tons of space.. i guess lots of time on the drawing board is in order. Thanks

dkbrad: As long as you maintain the same area and length of the port, you'll be okay. Could be 2X12 or 6X4 (as long as the port opening area is 24" sq and 40.25" long. You can use WinISD if you want and reduce the port size to get the port length down a bit more. The specd port is a little bigger than 6" (if rounded). You can probably bring that down to a 4" port and use flex port or something if you're really really pressed for space.
