What is a good way to use the existing kickpanels when adding a speaker to them?  The speediest way seemed to be  to just set the new speaker enclosure up on top but prob the glass would not stick to the plastic.

So now I am thinking to use the KP as a mould somehow, maybe lay the resined cloth on it, peel it off when it dries and then glass from the inside.  My car is an old one with air vents that are part of the kickpanel though, and I did not want to duplicate all that.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

You can use it, but if it says >PP< on the back, you either need to drill holes into the plastic where the fiberglass will stick, wrap it around or both.  4 or 5 layers should be enough to hold it.

Get some VERY rough sandpaper and roughen up the plastic panel and drill several holes maybe 1/4 inch all over the panel.  The holes will create "Rivets" if you will and will hold the resin/glass to the panel.
