sso i finaly cut out the fronttof my ugly box and restarted the process from the fnished shell and up, i just finished layering sum matting so hopefully it will go well....the only thing i wish i could have are the proper tools or some extra cash to get the right tools :)

well right now im putting down peices of matting. i only placed it on the large areas, so on the small curves its only fleece soaked in resin. i understand how many layors for the shell, but what about the front of the encloser, where the rings are attached to...

both the shell (back side of the enclosure) and the face of it have to be as stiff as possible...areas that are only fleece will crack...
whole box should have atleast 7 properly laid layers of mat...
you look to by installing L7's or 5's...and if you plan on powering them to their potential then you may wish to go a couple additionnal alyers as those subs will pound hard...
on a side note any flat and specifally large areas should be constructed of 5/8 or thicker MDF board..

thnx cougar for a second i was trying to remember when i said what speakers i were putting in, good eye :) im actauly putting in 2 l7's and i am powering them with an eclispe da7232. i used a hifonic 1500, a mmats amp and a 900 watt kicker amp for these subs and they never pounded as i expected to, so im hoping this amp will do the trick as well as the enclouser. now i am trying to decide how to do the speaker connectorsny ideas anyone? :)
