Hi,

I'm creating a computer in my truck from scratch. My next step is purchasing a head unit with auxiliary in to play the sound through my speakers.

Before I buy the new head unit, would it be possible to use my current Philips unit and modify my Philips RC026 6 disk Changer cable to become the auxiliary in? This cable would of course be connected to the computer.

I'm on a serious budget with this project and really need to save the pennies where I can so any help will be greatly appreciated.

-------------

Cheers
Yusuf

Anything is possible, always know that. You are going to have to splice that cable open and test which signals do what then solder and match to the cable that would be coming from your computer. I would also research the technical aspects to make sure the current/watts/etc.. match so you do not ruin either unit.

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

When you do not know what you are doing and what you are doing is the best -- that is inspiration.
