Hi

I've heard of this being done but wanted to find out if anyone has tried it and what sucess they had.  Its using a frame slightly bigger then the piece you want to wrap made of wood, then you staple the vinyl to this wood.  Glue your piece and vinyl and then push the frame down over the piece (kind of like a vacuum wrap but without the vacuum).  Apparently the pressure will get most of the vinyl to sit properly even on curves (not major curves).  Has any one ever tried this? Sounds good for wrapping dashes and kickpanels if it works.

Sounds like more work to me to have to make another frame. If you learn proper vinyl techniques, then you wouldn't have to have to make another frame to have your vinyl sit properly.

Yeah,  I've done all my wrapping by hand in the past but was just curious to see if anyone had tried this method and if it works. Especially if you are making more then one part the same.
