I am new to this forum and I have a question regarding fiberglassing. I have never tried this before and I have my dash board insert that I would like to fiber glass to be able to paint to match the body of the car. I am looking for a kit that I can buy that has everything you need (fiberglass, cloth, hardner..etc.). Any help is appreciated. Also if theres anyone living near the Dayton Ohio area thats good at this I may just farm it out, but I still would like to know how to do this. ------------- Fast 82

What is the year/make/model of your car, and is it a piece that surrounds your stereo or AC controls?? If it is just plastic there is no need to fiberglass unless you want to change something about it, like the shape or something.

The year of the car is a 1982 Ponitac Grand Prix and its the cover that covers the gauges, ac vents ,heater/ac controls and radio. I would like to close off all of the ac holes since I have removed the heat and ac. There are 6 holes that are 2 3/4 and 1 hole that is 5 1/4. I thought about just dura glassing in some plastic slugs and sanding everything down and paint it. what do you think?

I think cutting plastic to fill the holes would be easier than glassing the whole deal, then just prep and paint

I agree with firelizard. Cut some plastic the shape of the holes and use duramix (or equivalent) to glue them in. Prep, paint, presto.

I AGREE. PREP BY SANDING DOWN UNTIL SMOOTH (UNLESS U WANT THE TEXTURED LOOK) TREAT WITH ADHESION PROMOTER, PRIME AND PAINT
