I'm looking to fabricate a PDA mount/enclosure for a 99 Accord Sedan. What I would like to do is make something that would fit in the area where a 7" screen would usually go under the climate control. It needs to be something that I can easily place/remove my PDA from as I use it daily. What material and method would you all suggest. Thanks.

What I'm thinking initially is doing something like a pod-type enclosure, using Rage Gold body filler, an MDF trim ring, and possibly vinyl to cover the thing after it's all said and done. I think Fishman did something along these lines in his Expedition, IIRC.

you could take apart the pda, cast the rear panel w/ plaster, reverse cast that, then lay fiberglass and smooth. would fit snugly.

actually... i'd cast it by pressing into clay, then pour plaster into the impression. pull the clay from the plaster after it cures and you're good to go. heh.
