I'm not much of a fiberglass guy....I can do it but I don't know all the ins and outs.  I want to make a custom door panel with a 3 way sytem and move/chang the door handle and power window switch.

HOW would I attach the fiberglass/cloth to the door panel if I cut the center out like in the pic below?     Will the fiberglass stick to the plastic if I rough it up with 40-60 grit sandpaper?

*jaw drops* WOOOOWWWWW SHE IS A BEAUTY! I wish I could have afforded the new 07's, but I settled for a new 07 Nissan Versa, and am exceptionally happy with my 01 Black GT Vert. Love your boss though! Basically, what you can do is cut that out, rough it up as you said, and drill some holes so that the glass can grab better.

With such a large cutout you should be using a solid MDF peice to add back strength to the door panel. Cutout the spots where the door handle is located and from there you can build up the door. This will give you a larger area to reattach the rest of the door to the fiberglass part.

How thick would I use?   I've got some 3/8's MDF.

I haven't taken the panel off yet to see how flat it is behind it, I'll be starting on that in a few days.
