Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I have a 2001 prelude and the trunk isn't that big so I decided to use the spare tire tub. I have 3 PG X10D4's from my previous car and want to put them in my prelude. I also have a PG X1200.1 and X200.4, for those who know what those are know they are really big.

My question is, will it not sound as good as say a regular full MDF box? I am going to measure volume and make sure there is plenty of fibreglass layers so it shouldn't make a difference, right? Anyways, let me know what you think of doing this and how it will sound.

Thanks,

Corey

It SHOULDN'T  make a difference but that is always possible. As long as the box is the proper size and the structure is strong, there should not be any noticeable difference. As compared to an MDF box, FG boxes potentially do better because they do not bleed air through it.

Good construction (and hopefullly enough airspace) will make the project kick butt!
