I am curious.....What is the best way to recreate with fiberglass.....For example if I wanted to take a gauge pod and make a new one.....How could I recreate that????

Check out JL Audio's website for their tutorials... one of them explains how to mould a subwoofer box, which you may be able to use in your particular case.

I recently made a guage pod from a master mould.

Easiest way is to mask up the pod and fibreglass over the top of it.  Once the glass is dry remove it and the tape,  Then do a skimcoat of bodyfiller and a light sand and its all done.  I will try find some pics if you like

For more complex shapes look into algenate molding material... a bit pricey but produes a BEAUTIFULLY detailed recreation of whatever and reusable. Since it is "soft" you can also put imprints that are 3-D into it as well.

Also there is a plaster available too (the name and number escape me at the moment but I'll post asap)
