Can someone tell me if is better to make a sub box out of  Plexiglass or MDF? Also whats the best way to seal a plexiglass box, I heard you can use some kind of cement glue. Will this hold the box together while your subs are pounding away?

it all depends on the effect you are going for.....and room....usually ( now I'm an extremist ) if I build a box outta Plexi...I go no less than 1" thick...but it really hits the Wallet...by a couple hundred.  and unless you wanna show off every side of the woofer, and use neon or L.E.D.'s throughout the box..it's kinda overkill.

The industry standard is usually 3/4" or 1" MDF, and well it works fine.  as long as you put screws in at a decent interval ( every 2 or 3"..but don't hold me to that that might be too close ), glue it, and silicone the inside seams....it'll be fine.

of course if you wanna show off the woofers, you could always use plexi on one ot two sides of the enclosure.

and if you wanna make sure that MDF box doesn't leak....you could always coat the inside of it with Fiberglass Resin using a litlle Mat in the corners....when it dries...it'll be airtight....and tough as nails...(just dont' resin the Plexi....nasty effects....and I mean nasty...Plus it stinks..Don't
