How do you get the fiberglass flush up againt the the side of the trunk?? like if i wanted to make one straight layer about a foot high all the way across the trunk?

i believe that you tape off the section of the truknk that you want it to to be flush with...then you apply 3M adhesive spray and lay it on top of the masking tape...after this u can super glue the fabric that you want to that edge and then resin and all that....that is how i have seen it done and works good...go to ALPINE1.COM and loook at the Demo vehicles (civic si) they show their steps on there....good luck hope it helps.!!!!!!

depending on the car you can remove the rubber gasket and streach your material under it.  Mask off the rubber and give your self room for splatter.  After your first coat of resin is fully cured lay down some duraglass for strength.  using a marker outline next to the gasket.  remove the gasket and trim off the excess.  voila, perfect panel that fits flush with your trunk or whatever

is the panel part of the enclosure?
is it a coverpanel?
what will it be covered in? paint, vinyl, carpet?
there are a couple ways to do it just need some more info.
