Tomorrow im supposed to make a box for a friend of mine who has a Kicker Comp 12

The box will be 2.0cuft and the port will be tuned to 36Hz with a 3" diameter port with a length of 5" (thats what the port calculator here gave). I cant find a 4" diameter port sadly so im stuck with this 3"

Experts here think this will be good ? Anything I should change ? Thanks :)

As long as 2 cu. ft. is in the range that Kicker recommends ported for the Comp12, you should be good.

Make sure it's well-braced, solid, and leak-free.

Yes ... infact I was reading one of the older model manuals ... and they use this box size along with a 36Hz tuned port (4" though) so I guess this is good to go.

I wana ask one thing though ... what about adding two ports ? Is there anything I have to take in consideration when adding the second port (identical size/ tuning frequency) except for the additional port volume ?

I wouldn't know that. But if the12volt.com's calculator gave you 5" for the port lenth based on 3" diameter, 2 cu. ft, and 36Hz then I would just use the one port.

Well what does the manual say? If you don't have it, kicker.com has the information there for you. Can't go wrong with that. ^-^
