How does fiberglass epoxy react with plastic? I am rebuilding a door panel, and there is a plastic pocket piece on the front part of the panel that hooks through the fiberboard and into the metal part of the door panel behind it. I need to keep this plastic piece on the panel. This is the only way to affix it back onto the door when I'm done. However, can I fiberglass over this piece in any way? Could I just stretch some fiberglass mat over it? The location of the 6 1/2" speaker is above this plastic pocket, and it should be part of the enclosure for the woofer if it is possible.

you mean inside the actual pocket or over the top of it, or both?
