Hi all, I have just now gotten into the whole car audio seen. I have had a few subs and amps and all that good stuff. But now I want to start on custom install. So I will need all of your help and patients along the way. I am looking for an awesome forum where people are well umm competent and polite instead of idiots. I have been lurking for about 2 weeks on the fourm and just now got accpeted. As of this moment I have a Pioneer DEH-P490IB, a pair of RF P162C in the front and in the rear P1692C a Pioneer GM-7300M powering a single RF P3D412. In a q-logic box 1.25 Cu. (wich the box sounds like butt) I got the Sub and the box from my dad for My birthday and the amp from my GF.

I have a 1994 Honda Accord ex which I love. I am 21. I am Verizon Wireless Retailer. What I would really like to do is to have a custom install with the sub against the back seat with the port hole thourgh the arm rest. With the sub and the amp siiting a box together keeping it clean and looking good. But still have use of the trunk. IE laundry baskets. Any ideas that could help I would love to here. (I have looked around the site just introducing myself)

Anyway my boss has said that he would help me assemble the new box if I wanted his help.

So if anyone has any tips and or ideas on what I should do to tweak change my system Please feel free to let me know. Thanks all.

i wouodl go with fiberglass installations on the trunk . and the port its possible . take some pics of the trunk and are you gonna use the same sub or change it out . most likely you might have enough cubisc space . how of the trunk you want for your laundry ?

Don't do that unless you're building a bandpass enclosure.  If you are building a standard ported (bass reflex) system the port needs to face the same space as the sub.

Welcome to the forum.  Have fun!

Not to doubt DYohn's information, but the port does not HAVE to be on the same plane as the subs (take a look at the preloaded boxes you'll find in Circuit City, Best Buy, etc) but to maximize the effect, it is best to have them on the same plane.

Ganbatte ne!

Hi there DYohn... Sorry I disappeared for a little bit... miss me? § ^_~ §
