i am wanting to paint my dash i'm not modifying anything but i am painting it the same color as the outside of the truck and i was wondering the best way to do it with out fiberglassing it. i was thinking of just putting some bondo over it and sanding it down but i don't know if that will work. and tips that can help me out?

I don't know the answer but I would be interested.  I wonder if Bondo is so stiff that  a thin layer of it would eventually crack in the stress of the sun, humidity, vibration, etc.
